10 Things You Learned In Kindergarden To Help You Get Item Upgrading

Path of Exile Item Upgrading

Players can upgrade their weapons and equipment with new attachments. They can also increase its base stats or add additional benefits. To upgrade an item, the player has to have it in their inventory, as well as access to the kiln.

Items that have weak bases, like rings can be upgraded to more robust bases. Items with strong bases, like the Titans of eth have little change in their stats.

Upgrade components

Upgrade components can be used to upgrade weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or extra impact when the equipment is being used. They can be purchased from vendors, gathered in loot, dropped by enemies or as a reward for missions or chests. Some upgrades have additional cosmetic effects. Most upgrades require the equipment to be at a certain level before they are upgraded.

To upgrade the quality of a weapon or piece armor, the player has to choose it and click on the Upgrade button on the toolbar. The preview will appear on the right side of the screen showing what the expected upgrade statistics will be, as well as the material or component needed to make that happen.

There are three kinds of upgrade components including universal upgrades, prefix upgrades and suffix upgrades. Universal upgrades, which include gems, can be put in any kind of equipment and offer less bonuses than upgrade components that are restricted to a specific type. Infusions are gems that can only be used in equipment that is legendary or ascended. They provide the same bonuses as jewels, but cannot be used in any other equipment. Suffix upgrades that can be put in gathering tools, will include their name at the end of the name of the item they are attached to, for instance adding the word Glyph to the Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor will make it a Canthan Staff Wrapping of Minor Vigor.

If the player upgrades their gathering tool and replaces the glyphs with a different one the old one will be returned to their inventory. However, replacing any other upgrade component will destroy it, excluding inscribed glyphs that can be swapped.

Leveling

Path of Exile's upgrade process is different from previous versions in several important ways. Gear is now divided into tracks and items can only be upgraded a specific number of times before they are "leveled out." The upgrade costs increase with each level, but the materials needed do not. This allows players to focus their efforts on a specific few items and maximize the effect of these items, instead of spreading the cost of upgrades across several pieces.

This will enable the item to receive upgraded components and a greater chance of success. This bonus is called the Artisan’s Energy and it resets to 0 if an upgrade fails or increases when the upgrade succeeds.

After a piece has been upgraded to its highest level, it will be able to receive affixes to boost its attributes. The amount of affixes available is determined by the item's type. For instance an uncommon or rare weapon with a base that is normal will have no more than two affixes for it and legendary armors can have up to eight affixes for it.

Each upgrade will require a specific amount of Flightstones or Crests, based on the type of item at its current level and in what slot it is in. Typically, weapons will require more Flightstones to upgrade than other types of equipment.

If an item does not attain its maximum level, the NPC gives the player the option to transfer it to a different character and then re-infuse it with a different set or upgrades. The process can take as long as two hours and costs the same amount of materials however it will result in a lower chance of success.

Engineers may use a level in order to measure the height of the building to an established location, such as the benchmark. This method is known as a "level-loop." It involves taking readings with the level, backsighting rod, and then turning the level to take the foresighting rod reading. This method helps ensure that buildings are constructed to a high level of safety and accuracy.

Rerolling

Rerolling is the process of changing the upgrade components of an item. It is a very important part of the game and can improve the strength, damage or other attributes. This can be done via the item menu or by pressing the Reroll button of an upgraded item. Rerolling an item can be costly and should be done sparingly.

Reroll tokens are derived by recycling upgraded items. These tokens are then used to upgrade the original item or another item of the same type. Recyclable items have an indicator of level that indicates how much of the upgrade gauge is filled. The amount of level that has been filled is based on the rarity and upgrade cost of the item.

In the past, certain  upgrade item s had priority affixes which made them easier to roll for than others. This meant that you would get the stats that mattered most to your build more often than other. This included stats like the armor's total armour, thorns, and control impaired duration reduced stats or the weapon's bonus attack speed and strike chance.

This was changed with the recent patch. Priority affixes were removed, and all upgrades have the identical chance of rolling each stat. This can be a great or bad thing depending on your requirements and expectations from your equipment.

Each upgraded item may also come with a unique, fixed-value bonus that increases its strength by a certain percentage. These bonuses are offered in addition to the usual affixes. The more you upgrade your product, the better the chance of receiving an exclusive bonus.

The game also features various sets that offer a set-based bonus when three or more upgraded items from the same set are equipped on the same unit. This is an excellent way to add a lot of power to a particular character without spending lots of money.

Many players reroll their weapons and gear particularly in the beginning stages. Rerolling can provide a much faster path to a powerful character and allows them to climb high tiers and progress the game much more quickly.

Sets

Sets are collections that can be set up differently. They could be of various dimensions, have no elements, or only contain a single element. They can be used for organizing data or sorting information. They can also be used to study patterns. Sets can be classified in a variety of ways, including size and shape.

There are many set items available to upgrade in The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom. Certain items are worth upgrading while others aren't. Upgrades are worthwhile for armor sets with high defense and set bonuses. However, most upgrades to weapons do not improve the quality of the item's stats when compared to their counterparts in purple. This makes them less attractive to upgrade if you have a lot of armor pieces or weapons.

Some set items are upgraded to meet their own unique functions which can be useful in certain builds. Guillaume's Face face and Aldur's Advance boots are a good example of this. Both were upgraded from Exceptional Winged Helm and Exceptional Mirrored Boots respectively, increasing their defense by 217 to 321 (Strength requirement and Level requirement increased as well).

Upgrades are also possible to bring certain items to par with the tiers. For example, the Immortal King set has a large level range, from 29 to 76. Upgrades to lower-level items could enhance their defense, and improve their performance in terms of damage.

To see if an item is worth upgrading, players should click the Upgrade button on the screen of their character. The item's attributes will be displayed as well as any necessary items. For instance the No-mouth Face will require 1.1K Scrap Materials as well as 250 Enchanted Dust and 5 Glowing Shards to upgrade. Players can also look up the upgrade requirements for specific items at the Cyrodiil Golden vendor or Leaderboard.

In general, armor and weapons have a higher trade value when they are updated. Upgrades to gold are recommended for weapons with spell/weapon-damage glyphs. This will bring about a significant improvement in their performance. The armor that has a new appearance will also benefit from this as its defense value will increase when it goes from purple to gold.
